Registered General Nurse – Keighley – Elderly Care
THE ROLE Located in Keighley, an industrial town just north of Bingley and the city of Bradford, our client is offering an ambitious and experienced RGN a superb career opportunity to secure a long-term position and make a difference to those around you.
Our client is a family run care home for the elderly where they provide professional nursing in a friendly, personal environment. They use a Palliative Care approach, which is about the quality of life as well as about treatment of illness. The home currently holds 31 residents who suffer with Alzheimer's, dementia and physical disability.
Working within an elderly care home you will work alongside residents who suffer from dementia, physical disabilities and Alzheimer's.
THE CANDIDATE As an enthusiastic qualified RGN with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be involved in creating and maintaining an environment in which all residents receive a high standard of care. The successful candidate will initiate and implement new ideas, and participate in the setting and maintenance of good nursing standards in consultation with other nursing colleagues.
Candidates will need to possess a flexible approach to your working hours and be able to complete alternated day/night shift patterns working on a rota basis.
You will have a self motivated attitude with the desire to thrive within this unique and sometimes challenging environment.
Applicants will have knowledge of the Care Quality Commission regulations and will work in accordance with the Codes of Professional Conduct as issued by the NMC.
