Job Description
You will deliver a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience.
Ensure that all patients receive the optimum level of care and are referred to medical colleagues as appropriate Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualised patient care Help develop and set up new patient services and participate in initiatives to improve existing patient services Provide a first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed ear problems, making use of skills in history taking, physical examination including micro suction, problem-solving and clinical decision-making, to establish a diagnosis and management plan. Maintain accurate records and documentation Prescribing with Patient Group Directions (PGD) Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings / reports. Judge complex cases ensuring facts and circumstances are analysed and interpreted to provide the best range of options to the patient Take appropriate action following assessment of specialist acute and other conditions Where the post holder is an independent prescriber: to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework. Take the lead in developing and delivering specialist ear care services. Contribute to InHealth achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery. Provides counselling and health education. Has the authority to admit and discharge patients from their caseload and refer patients to other health care providers as appropriate.

You will have previous skills of supporting the delivery of policy and procedures; have a professional and cooperative attitude towards patients, customers and colleagues.
