Responsibilities: - reporting to the General Manager you will form part of the management structure providing clinical leadership to the nursing team whilst taking a lead role in maintaining quality standards and in practice development - head a team of nurses and support workers, working closely with all members of the team in the development, implementation and evaluation of practice development initiatives whilst establishing and promoting a positive learning environment for all staff - act as a source of clinical expertise and enhance nursing practice - ensure that all the requirements of the mental health act and national standards legislation is met - participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of staff as required in addition to thorough induction programme for all new starters
